Thought id ask here as someone will know..

Taking a short trip to France soon and wondering if its ok to take bikes on French Trains.. I know they need to be in a bag on Eurostar but is it ok on the TER.. Do you need a bike ticket like you do in Holland.

Need to get from Dunkirk to Lille on a Sunday Afternoon?

Cheers

Look at http://www.ter-sncf.com/Regions/nord_pas_de_calais/Fr/TER_Pratique/Default.aspx

It says that all TER services in Nord Pas de Calais (the area you are interested in) accept bicycles except for TERGV services. Bicycles have to be taken apart (or folded in the case of folding ones) and put in a bag measuring no more than 0.9 m x 1.2 m on TERGV trains.
There is no need to pay anything.

As far as I am aware there is a choice of normal TER and TERGV for your journey.
