Birmingham New Street To Taunton

Can this be split to make it cheaper? I plan to go on the XC HST 812 from Birmingham.
also return from Bristol Temple meads on the XC HST to Derby the same day.
I have a priv card.

A priv open return Birmingham-Taunton is £26.
Birmingham-Cheltenham £6.65
Chelts-Bristol TM £3.35
Bristol-Taunton £4.55

I've found that when i travel with people with privs..they just show that to the conductor and get a "cheers mate"

That could be a bit cheaper? :P

Unofficially, ask the Train Manager before you get on and most cases they will let you travel.
