Headed to Carstairs this morning to see LMS Black 5, 45305 in British Railways Black livery. This was the first time I’d seen this loco and it is stunning. It sat in Carstairs for around 35 minutes, where it was refilled with water then moved forward to the down goods loop signal to await the green light to continue north.
