I'm hearing some rumours that contracts have been signed regarding the Blyth and Tyne line reopening which Northern will operate passenger services on.
I can't find anything in the media regarding this, nor can I find anything on this forum.
Does anyone have any further information regarding a timeline for reopening or whether or not it truly is going ahead? If it is true, it will be the first reopened/"new" line in the UK since the Borders Railway to Tweedbank I believe.
