Hi all,

Just found this clip of 60163 crossing Bollo Lane.....

..... and notice, as confirmed by Google Earth, that you have two crossings within about 70 yards of each other. Also noticeable that the 2015 Streetview of Bollo Lane shows one of the boxes still standing despite having closed 04-Jun-2012.

In Bristol there are two swing bridges which run on the same power supply meaning that you cannot close both bridges at the same time. Out of interest, does the same situation exist with the crossings on Bollo Lane (which would be a good safety measure)? Or could you potentially close both these crossings at the same time if both showed as clear on the CCTV system which I believe watches both crossings these days?

Dave

Yes you can close both crossings at the same time, although it is rare to do so. It can only happen with concurrent movements of a northbound train from Kew, and a southbound train from South Acton to Richmond.
