By dint of an Unfortunate Event I am now in possession of around 100 extremely specialised titles on all things railway engineering (surveying, tunneling, permanent way, signailing, etc.) dating (generally) from the 19th century. I anyone is interested please PM me.
Examples include for a flavour:
"Railway Practice, a Collection of Working Plans and Practical Details of Construction in Public Works of the most Celebrated Engineers "by Brees (3 volumes),published by John Williams 1839.
"History of the Manchester Ship Canal" by Leech (2 volumes) Sherratt & Hughes 1907.
"The practice of Engineering Field Work applied to Lane, Hydrographic and Hydraulic Levelling" by Haskoll, Published Atchley & Co 1858.
