Hi all, I would be grateful if anyone can give me some advice on journey breaking.

I am planning to book the off-peak return ticket from Bristol to Durham.

On the outbound or inbound journey, say i would pay a visit to Leeds and York.

I get off the train at York, stay in York for a day then catch a night train to Leeds and stayed in Leeds for a night. Then stay the second day in Leeds and catch a late train back to Bristol.

Is this kind of break journey allowed?

Many thanks.

It is on the return journey. The outward is more debatable and relies on the interpretation of an awkward restrictive term, but even if you take the lenient interpretation (I don't) then only one overnight break is possible on the outward.

I would strongly recommend doing these breaks on the return half, therefore.
