Bridge Strike at Romsey

Had my first bridge strike at work today. A lorry tried to go under a bridge with its hydraulic arm in the fully raised position. It smashed into the railings and the claw ended up in the 4 foot of the railway line.
Luckily the driver had the sense to put it into reverse and pull the arm clear before any trains hit it.
The damage to the bridge and track was just on the surface {bent railings, broken concrete etc} so after initial safety checks the line was re opened at 5mph and then about an hour later the bridge inspector gave permission to resume normal line speed.
