    Hi All

With the possibility of capturing two steam engines both heading up shap with 5 minutes difference between there booked times, I couldn't resist the chance to head across to various locations to capture the railtours as they had north up the WCML.

I started the day off at Warrington but got done at the last minute, and not allowing me to grab a shot of Brit. Once it had passed I headed further north to Beck Foot to capture brit once again which was 1 section behind 45699 Galatea that was hauling the Cumbrian Coast Express. After this shot I managed to get ahead of it once again and captured it as it came down the first part of the SnC to Appleby. With it then taking a short break in there, I got back ahead of it again and captured the final shot of the day which featured Brit heading over Arten Gill Viaduct.

All of my shots from today can be found at the following links:-

I'm gobsmacked. Thats me in your way with my fleece over my head.

I kept looking around to see if we were in your shot but none of you seemed to mind. Great location as well, never been before. Great pics btw, love them all.

Did any of these 2 charters actually enter into Carlisle station? I was told not.
