No you don't. You just have to walk a bit further through the commercial part of the station.
Temporary, while the E* terminal is re-formatted, I suppose for the 'processing' of the passengers coming from the Netherlands, when the new trains A'dam-London will be in operation.

Indeed. The 19.20 to Manchester platform was announced last Monday, when that train should have departed. Depart was at 19.33 and arrived with a delay of 6 minutes in Manchester.
I find that the temporary check-in at Zuid actually flows faster than the old one did!
