I will be travelling from Burnham to Selhurst at around 11am and returning at 7pm on Saturday 6th August. The trainline site tells me the best ticket for this journey is an Off Peak Day Travelcard for London Zones 1-6. However I believe Burnham is outside of Zone 6. Will I need to buy a separate return ticket from Burnham to a Zone 6 station?

It's an off-peak day travelcard from Burnham to zones 1-6, assuming the price is £13.90. The zones 1-6 only version is £12.10.

What it (hopefully!) means is a Travelcard from Burnham which would include both travel to/from Zone 6 and then the unlimited travel in Zones 1-6.

This should cost you £13.90 and can be bought on the day at the station - don't buy from the Trainline as they add ripoff fees and charges! If you have to buy online, buy from a website of a train operating company such as GWR (who run the trains from Burnham to London) or any other you choose!

You can buy a day return from Burnham to Selhurst... but it is £14.50 so why would you? :P The Travelcard will be the best option, especially if you find you need to go to/from another station :)

I paid £9.20 with a 16-25 railcard so I assume that's the £13.90 one. Does that mean I'm fine then?
