Bus replacement 27/06/21

Hi all
I was looking to go from Worcester to Cholsey on the 27th of June and saw there was a bus replacement service between Oxford and Didcot. Don't mind this at all but could not seem to find anywhere why this was the case. Does anyone know?

Engineering work is taking place between Didcot Parkway and Oxford, closing all lines.

Until 13:20, buses will replace trains between Didcot Parkway and Oxford.


Great Western Railway


Until 13:20, trains running between London Paddington and Oxford / Worcester / Great Malvern / Hereford will not call at stations between Didcot Parkway and Oxford. Local trains between Didcot Parkway and Oxford will be cancelled.


Rail replacement buses will run between Didcot Parkway, Radley and Oxford.

Looks to be engineering works until the afternoon
