I am travelling from Bristol to Capenhurst on 8th January and need to be flexible so need to have an off-peak/anytime ticket.
Currently the cheapest flexible ticket is the Anytime Single at £41.70.
Obviously, I could wait until the day but the fares are due to rise in the New Year. Therefore, is it better to purchase in advance (in 2019) prior to the fare rise in 2020. Or is there a cut off date in 2019 (December) when they display the higher fares for January travel?
