Caledonian Railway locos in the 1930's & 1950's

Hi All

I have added some new photos of the Caledonian Railway in the 1930’s & 1950’s,
In these 2 photos taken in 1957 spot all the LMS black five tenders in Inverness Round House

56305 McIntosh 812 and 652 Class Caledonian Railway & numerous Black 5 tenders Inverness Loco shed 1957

Excellent stuff...thanks for posting those. Takes me back to late 50s Perth where I spotted. So btw the Pic of 15166 is at Perth shed yard. The hill behind is Kinnoull Hill which features in many loco photos, becoming progressively more wooded as time goes by...you could say obviously, but I think it was considered a good source of timber untill WWII.

Incidentally, the photo of 55126 is almost certainly on the Killin branch as the loco was shedded at Stirling for the 50s.

I cannot remember why I googled '57345 caley' too much time on my hands!

Anyway it opened up a set of photos round Perth in the early 60s taken by an old spotter mate of mine (who I have not seen for 50 years...honest) and of course it brings back memories. Indeed I was with him when he took some of these.
So if you're interested in Perth and other 60s mainly Scottish stuff try...
