It was 92044 going to assist 032 bringing the china clay tanks through the tunnel.

The 0Z50 66 move from Toton to Brush hasn't happened (yet) - was scheduled to leave Toton an hour ago - so the 043/023 moves may be postponed.

Update: Paths now cancelled. Moves to be re-arranged.

There's a picture of 92043 resplendent in its new livery on the WNXX news pages - won't provide a link as it's behind the subscription wall I believe so you'll need to be a member of that site to see it...

As far as I can tell from the photo (taken across the fields at Brush) it's EXACTLY the same as 92028 bar one minor detail (below*) - and the number obviously

I'd thought they'd go for the squared-off ends as with the new 66 liveries (e.g. 66723) but it still has the Europorte-esque roundels albeit all blue as with 028.
I'm pretty sure it was painted after GBRf was sold to Hector Rail - so perhaps they decided 92s would look odd with squared-off ends, or they want to keep the fleet uniform and/or it's a nod to the tunnel/Europorte heritage of these locos. Either way looks smart!

(*The minor difference to 028 is the small "GB Railfreight" cabside logos are the new blue ones with the line top and bottom, rather than the one 92028 has which effectively is the ex-Europorte black one with the blue/red circles removed from around it.)

It gets the thumbs-up from me in terms of paint froth. Pity the 66s et al haven't had a similar treatment IMO.

Looks like GBRf are going for third time lucky with the 92043/023 Brush moves.
Path just gone in for a VSTP move light engine from Toton to Brush - which following the paths from the last two Wednesdays would be the assisting 66 to collect 92043.

0Z50 Toton to Loughborough Brush

66774 was the only GBRf 66 at Toton earlier today so a likely candidate if this move does happen. 66729 the other possibility I can see having worked 6M73 in to Toton this afternoon.

UPDATE:

More parts of the jigsaw now on the system:

0Z51 Loughborough Brush to Crewe H.S. (66 + 92043)

0Z52 Crewe H.S. to Loughborough Brush (66 + 92023)

FURTHER UPDATE: 0Z50 is on the move...
...and now 0Z51 is.

Could almost be brand new!

Certainly an excellent job on the livery by the ladies and gents at Brush!!

Here's a brief video of 92043 from last night for those who prefer moving pictures.

I've also posted "one or two" more photos of it on Flickr

A couple of (not very good) images of 92043 next to 92028 (043 is on the right) at Willesden. Photos taken from Scrubs Lane.

They're proper spy shots that our man in Velim, Tam, would be proud of! ;)

Look good lined up outside the depot.

Couple of slightly closer-up shots here from today's 0Z23 test run down to Willesden (not mine):
At Stafford
At Northampton

If only they could get rid of the yellow panel...

They could as the upgraded lighting on the modified locos I'm sure will meet the latest requirements, but I'm guessing they just like the 'classic' yellow ends. :D

And later on I managed to capture them through Rugby (despite a possible issue with the pair at Northampton):

Is it one of those two that goes to Brush tomorrow?

I believe it's 043 going back in to have some remedial work done on something that's not quite right. Only did the one return test run to Willesden Mon/Tue and then has been sat on the block in the siding at Crewe the rest of the week.

028 did a "test" run to Carlisle and back yesterday. Probably on the Dagenham-Garston cars next.

92028 back in "proper" action today on the cars. Worked 0L48 light engine from Crewe to Garston just after lunch, then hauled the (almost) empty wagons to Dagenham on 6L48 later in the afternoon/evening, with 66702 DIT.

Short video featuring both workings here if anyone's interested...
