What I want to do is to go from Cambridge to Kings Cross in the afternoon, and then Tottenham Hale to Cambridge in the evening. If I buy the normal return from Cambridge to London Terminals, will that be valid? All I'm doing is getting on the train from Liverpool St to Cambridge a few stations later. I wouldn't be worried, except that a ticket to Tottenham Hale is more expensive than the one I would be getting:

Super off peak return with 16-25 Railcard:
Cambridge to London Terminals: £10.55
Cambridge to Tottenham Hale: £11.80
(in fact on the same line: Cambridge to London Terminals (NXEA only): £9.70)

No BoJ restriction on return, and you're on a permitted route so that's fine.

The cheap ticket is of course now "Greater Anglia only" (for which I've seen abbreviated to "AGA")
