I've heard mixed things on this topic. I've searched the RSSB rule books and can't find any result for sunglasses and similar terms, and a search here shows a 2012 thread for drivers. So, excluding company policy which may differ between TOCs (but feel free to share what your policies are), are sunglasses allowed? As long as they conform to the correct standards, surely it makes things safer in bright sunlight?

Edit: originally posted to general but a mod moved it to the jobs section?

Can't recall any exact policy where I work. Common sense wise I would think as long as you take them off to check signals during dispatch and CIS screens for correct times, I can't see an issue. Don't quote me on that though.
