Why That on Kemble, Stroud and Stonehouse all the anouncments are not working and the displays boards are or knocked off? i heard that it was from the heat wave but i dont know.

They're probably all controlled from the same signal box (Swindon?) and the connection has been damaged.

Strange, doesn't normally take that long to fix. I suppose it depends on what the problem is and what else has been happening I guess. The usual cause is a problem with the cabling which requires engineers to walk the route checking for problems, which can be time consuming.

I was speaking to my freind who works at old oak and he told me that the software has expired that does all the announcements
