Greetings - can anyone tell me what the fare would be for an adult single from Carlisle to Galashiels on the X95 tomorrow morning? I can't make sense of the Borders Buses website.

Just noting you might get more of a response if you post in the bus forum, rather than other transport - perhaps moderators would be kind enough to move it for you?

I'd suggest a £5.80 single, or at most the £10.15 day ticket, but you're right... the fares info there is does seem confusing!

With UK style "one ticket per vehicle journey" tickets, this normally means "from activation, you can board one bus within 30 minutes" - terribly worded!

If the route was part of the £2 fare cap scheme it would be - the £2 cap also covers journeys from England into Scotland or Wales (but not the same journey in the opposite direction, from Scotland or Wales into England).

But the route isn't part of it.

There would have been an app price and a cash price. Often the driver will tell you to download the app and pay that way rather than take the cash.

Well after all that I wasn't able to make the trip yesterday! But thank you all for your input - I'm hoping to go at some point in July, and if I do I'll post the results.
