where it's identified
288 (Car No.88) from unit 3051 - Moved from Norwood Yard to Temple Mills 14th October 1972 and on to Clacton 27th October 1972. Moved to Chappel & Wakes Colne 5th July 1975 (now owned by Truman Brewers).
and it still exists, being part of the restoration project for the BB.

must have been very recently ex service at that point when pic was taken.
It was at Swanage in the 1980s, ISTR an embarrassing moment when the rear steering of the road transport unit failed in Corfe Castle village resulting in some damage to a wall and a slight crease in the carriages bodywork :oops:.
