I need to buy one of these cashier signage systems.

Does anyone know any manufacturers names please?

Google searching is proving difficult as I'm not sure exactly what you call them!

You may want to try something like "electronic queue management system"

I suspect that the price of a one-off system will be quite expensive.

Maplin may do something suitable, you'll have to take a look on their website.

That search thread returns predominantly software systems and books.

The two suggestions are good to be getting on with ta. I had reached the first one yesterday but not knowing what I was looking for was called a Linear Queueing System I gave up on their site.

I'm not expecting it to cat that much, not interested in a fancy pic/network connected system.
