My dad has a photo he took of defiant on 06/08/1988, the location was Hereford, it shunted some coaching stock into Edgar street sidings and then worked off with one barrier coach! It had the Red Dragon headboard on the front! We have not been able to track down any further information about it on that date, the loco itself was restored in July 1988 and by September was on the Gloucestershire/Warwickshire, does anyone have any record or know what this working/ special was! Red dragon was the original paddington to Cardiff/ South Wales service but as far as specials go seems to be given to anything that coughed anywhere near the welsh border! Any help would be appreciated, it is driving me mad
