Notice on Huddersfield station appeared this morning notifying that Channel 5 are filming a series on TPE at the moment.

I guess TPE will be hoping for a heavy focus on the cat, because otherwise it seems like a bit of a brave decision to be filmed now.

Has anyone seen any filming notices elsewhere?

Channel 5.... will they be blaming their fleet problems on Benefit Claimants or Immigrants then?

Can’t make it pay, we’ll take your franchise away?

LNER “We have new Azuma Trains and go over some scenic routes”

GWR “we have new trains and go to London, Bristol, Plymouth, Hereford”

    TPE “we have 2 cats”

They were filming in Manchester Piccadilly on Saturday evening, as i may be in amongst the crowd somewhere (didn't notice they were filming until I saw the notices on their hi-vizes.

Greater Anglia - Sorry, we can't find our new trains?

Fly on the Wall at TPE, is that the only thing they could fit on their trains?

I think that would be for their New Street Paddington 24/7 replacement.

Definitely mentioned TP Express on the filming notice, can't remember the message exactly, but it was along the lines of
"We're filming a fly on the wall documentary on the day to day running of TP Express"

Fair enough but I wonder if there will be any crossover.

I’m sure that whatever the content, you’ll find a bad way to spin it!

Hopefully it won't just be a day in the life at the ticket barriers that the others suffer from. Nothing could be more boring.

Some actual technical information would be nice.

Train starting late due to driver being on his break is a near certainty

Do they? The Paddington one spent plenty of time in Control and Old Oak Common depot.

We should do a LNR one as well, we could have a proper laugh.

Actually, they are doing, aren't they?

Well the 230s would be perfect for a fly-on-the-wall series, plenty of circulation room for the camera crews, and built-in heating for them as they gently roast their engines..... ;)

What are passengers rights here, who don't want to be put on TV for TPE or Channel 5's benefit?

Standard procedure is that anyone who doesn't want to be shown makes themselves known to someone - details will be on the notice - and they'll have their face blurred out or even the footage in question not used at all.

Seen a couple of comments on you tube that Don Coffey who does the drivers view videos is involved so maybe it's more of a follow a carefully selected bunch of employees in which case TPE might come out of it quite well if the right ones have been chosen and i suspect they have

Hopefully the programme will focus on the Cats.

The ones that thrash, rather than the ones that meow.

They were filming on the morning 1M90 from Preston yesterday. Admittedly not the best day for them to have done it, as there was an OHLE failure between BON and SFD. I wonder whether that was a factor in the 1M90 being an 8-car yesterday, despite lack of 350s.

No ‘special attention’ is being paid to the film crew - in fact it’s actually quite the opposite.
