Hi all

I'm off to Nuneaton on Saturday, the fare is £31.80 with a 16-25 railcard. I'm thinking of splitting at Disley and Stafford...

CEF to Disley - £2.85 return
DSL to Stafford - £10.75 return
STA to Nuneaton - £4.05 return

I think this is the cheapest I'll get down to, £17.65. Will it be valid on this itinerary?

0738 to 0812 - CEF to Stockport
0835 to 0925 - SPT to Stafford
0936 to 0958 - STA to Nuneaton

1117 to 1130 - NUN to Tamworth
1331 to 1336 - TAM to Lichfield T.V

1937 to 1953 - LTV to Stafford
2001 to 2049 - STA to Stockport
2105 to 2138 - SPT to Chapel en le Frith.

Now I know there's likely to be no problem, its just I'm not sure if there's any BoJ restriction on the STA to NUN ticket...

I don't think there is usually BoJ restrictions on the return portion of a ticket is there, except in certain cases? I know a few outbounds are restricted in quite a few cases, but that wouldn't be an issue here anyway.

Well done in finding those splits - that is a considerable saving!!!

Only a very few return tickets purport to have break of journey restrictions on the return leg. To my knowledge they are all routed LDN MIDLAND ONLY. There are arguments that such restrictions are not in any case enforceable.
