Was out for the day and heading from Barry (where I'd dodged the queues for a brew and a sausage bap) in to Cardiff when I saw the charter heading towards Barry in the morning, and then stuck around in Cardiff to see it head back towards London around 5pm. Ducked under cover to avoid the rainstorms, but it was topped and tailed by two class 66s.
I'd seen the locos were out of the shed in Barry when I stopped there, but I guess it wasn't the rides that drew all those people down to Barry Island!
