I thought you would be interested in this picture, they run around Chicago. Image taken at Chicago O'Hare International Airport. Time of image - Around 7AM. This is the day when our flight to the UK was canceled.

2-car EMU? Nice, but aren't there capacity issues in such a large place? 2-car EMUs over here in some places would be fine, but AFAIK Chicago is pretty big, so 2-car units seem a bit too small.

I'm open to being corrected on this mind.

Also, nice shot, I had always wondered what the US MUs looked like.

They all get joined together to operate in a 6, 8 or 12 car set, I believe. They aren't typical US EMUs, they are about as typical as the Docklands light railway :) http://www.bradcoweb.com/trains/lirrm3.JPG is a slightly more typical one, as used on the Long Island RailRoad in New York. This is the brand new version, operated by Metro North Rail Road, again in New York, the M7: http://www.mta.info/mnr/gifs/m7.jpg. How do I know all this? I know a guy who up until 6 months ago drove em :)
