With Boris likely to be voted in as new Prime Minister in the next few days, who is your tip to become new Transport Secretary. What should he/she focus on and what is Chris (failing) Grayling's legacy?

Well, I am feeling gloomy this afternoon so my guess is Esther McVey for Transport Secretary. What's the inverse of a legacy - where the deceased left chaos and a pile of debt?. Whatever the word for that is, that's what CG has left behind!

Grayling's legacy is to have kept HS2 going despite considerable opposition in his own party. He also got a far higher than expected settlement for Network Rail. Williamson, Gove and brother Jo Johnson have all been mentioned in the press as possible new Transport SofS. Gove will be the most interesting as he gets into the detail and if he really has had an environmental conversion could be a pro-public transport minister
