Class 123/124 Trans-Pennine dmu's

Morning all

I have added a few photos of the class 123/124 Trans-Pennine dmu’s

The class 124’s ran over Standedge and used to be 6 car sets with buffet car here
51964 arrives with a 6 car set at Leeds

The units soldiered on a while being reduced to just 4 cars

The 123 units had a corridor front end which made them look completely different from the 124’s

The "Trans-Pennine" sets were really very smart indeed. I remember them being introduced in Huddersfield in the early 1960s.
