Was booked for a 158 over half term as well, although it may well be back to a 150 diagram now. It only turned up as a 158 about half the time anyway. The 0800 Cardiff-Paignton and 1247 Paignton-Cardiff still produces a three car 158 quite often as well, although it is booked for a three car 150 now.

Well, since there's only two 2 car 158s (and half of one of those was being used in a 3-car recently), i expect that, as usual, pretty much anything could actually turn up.

That one (150127) seems to quite often be used on the SO 0909 Bristol-Wmth (the one that used to be a 67).

150121 and 150127 are the two three car units. They are both booked on the Weymouth line on Saturdays I believe. One works the 0909 Bristol-Weymouth and 1655 Weymouth-Bristol. The other works the 0647 Worcester-Weymouth, 1110 Weymouth-Gloucester, 1240 Worcester-Weymouth and 1728 Weymouth-Bristol, all between Bristol and Weymouth only. The 1240 Worcester-Weymouth and 1728 Weymouth-Bristol are both formed of an SWT 158 attached to a three car FGW 150 between Bristol and Weymouth.

Oh, well i haven't seen one on the 1110 yet, last week it was a 158x3 + 150/2 and before that a 5-car 158.

Have seen one reported on it a couple of times since the timetable change in May when it became a booked diagram. But as it requires 100% availability of the 150121 and 150127 substitutions are fairly likely, and a three car 158 is the best available substitution. Last year the diagram which just attached Bristol-Weymouth was booked for a 3-car 158 and both the 1110 and 1728 off Weymouth were both booked for 5-car 158s.

I would assume this is like many of FGW's services in the south west. Pretty much anything FGW have in the area can turn up to do it.
