It is expected to be scrapped soon
Well a friend of mine heard somewhere and said

its down for preservation someone accepted it that’s what I heard. They got two full set one is getting chopped. He cannot remember where he heard this but mentioned angel spares one and one scrapping the other set for parts the one without its numberboard chopped. However that’s just a roumer but I don’t believe it would be true however we don’t know this conformity yet it probably is not likely going to happen all we could say is I don’t think the source is true unless we find out as they’re is no updates yet.

There are only 2 x 314 still remaining and a few motor coaches

314204 at Eastleigh which will likely be scrapped unless there are plans for it

314209 at Yoker CS which should be going to Kilmarnock Brodies for Hydrogen conversion

Two coaches of 314204 ( PTS 71453 & DMS 64589 ) are now in the scrap siding at Eastleigh heading into the Raxstar area. No sign today of DMS 64590, which was that where the front number had been cut away.

314209 looks set to become the sole surviving 314 within the next few days it seems. Only fully intact one it’ll be as well.

Haven’t seen any pics as of yet but is someone able to confirm 314204’s demise at Eastleigh Works? Last I heard was that two of its coaches was in the scrap line

Scot-rail has it as scrapped July 2020 now. Last I looked it was still merely at Eastleigh.

Why was 314204 sent to Eastleigh in the first place? Was there a project abandoned?

We’ll find out about 204’s fate soon. A lot of redundant stock have been scrapped on site at Eastleigh Works by Raxstar in recent times

Only PTS 71453 of 314204 visible at Eastleigh this morning. DMS 64589 appears to have proceeded into the scrap area, and may have been processed since Thur 16th.

Well, I guess that leaves unit 314209 remaining.
I was on 314204 in December 1998 when I went to 'Shine on Glasgow' in George Square.

No pics of 204 being dismantled have appeared yet but given that pics of rolling stock being scrapped at Eastleigh Works have previously been put online I won’t be surprised if such a pic of 204 meeting its end appears soon

Just gone by Yoker CS on the bus and I can confirm that 314209 is still living the dream there!

PTS 71453 of 314204 has now vanished, only wagons in the scrap siding at Eastleigh this morning.

Carl Watson's page http://www.carlswatson.com/trains.html has some updates, starting from 29th June. It would appear that 64590 was first to be scrapped, but no actual scrapping pictures.

Indeed I passed the depot today and 314209 is still there, although it has picked up a fair amount of graffiti on the front and sides of it. Let’s hope it hasn’t corroded and returned itself to the earth by the time they are ready to start fitting this hydrogen equipment :D

On occasions that I've passed the depot, there's been people in hi-vis wandering around 314209, preparations to fit the equipment maybe?

Can also confirm that the pantograph carriages from 202, 203, 205, 210, 214, 215 and 216 that are stored at Long Marston are being used for spares by Vivarail

I'd love to know their definition of "spares"; I wouldn't have thought the Metro-Cam D Stock would have much in common with the BREL EMUs of the era.
