That might just be the twitter team's way of saying there's 5 diagrams left, although I would be surprised if they keep 8 units to cover 5 diagrams right through until December.

I would be equally surprised if they get the full compliment of 385s in advance of December that they would leave them lying around spare whilst the last 314s rattled away.

It is possible though - I think they have a headache regarding what to do with the Neilston peak services. I'm not sure there's enough class 318/320s to form 2x6 car workings currently worked by 314s, and 380/385 are restricted to single units due to the turnback, so running the 314s longer buys some time to deal with that. It might need a bit of a diagram/timetable recast if they don't want to remodel the station.

Can anyone confirm 385s are cleared and if any or on neilston services?

Awaiting departure to Neilston on the delayed 2035, 205 doing the honours. From platform 15 would you believe!

205 seems to be one of about two units that always seems to be out these days.

I think the only platforms I've never seen them leave from are 1-6. Anything from 7-13 seems quite common, 14/15 is a bit more unusual but I'd imagine it has happened before now.

The 1751 weekday service from Central departs from platform 3 usually, and is often a 314. Im convinced I’ve seen one in platform 1 too, but perhaps only once. You do definitely very occasionaly get a Scotrail EMU in P1

Remember getting an EK service from 15, old 13.

Lanark services often go into p1

7 and 8 always used to be 314 central as it were!

I think any semblance of set platforms for set routes has long gone.

314205+314209 are currently working the 12.28 Neilston - Glasgow Central service

205 still going strong! Always seems to be out.

On weekdays 1K15 (09:31 Glasgow to Ayr) is booked to go off of Platform 1 same with 1A16 (09:43 Glasgow to Kilmarnock). There are also some Edinburgh services which use P1/2 in the weekday morning. Presumably because there aren't many VT services arriving from the south.

How long are we expecting the handful of 314's to remain? Are they here until the December timetable change or until all the 385's are in service?

December I believe, even with more 385s. Possibly for contingency reasons.

P5 was the domain of the EK service .

Probably exactly like Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Queen Street, Central likely had dedicated platforms for certain services; now with ever greater frequencies this isn't workable I imagine.

Paisley Canal seems to have a habit of almost always using Platform 12,

Largs and Ardrossan seem to be common of 13 & 15, rarely seen one going off 14. Barrhead seems to normally use Platform 11 as well.

They're not dedicated platforms as such but they'll be the easiest platforms to path in and out of given the route the service has to take whilst accommodating other movements happening at the same time.

Given that most routes have a clock face timetable all day (eg. arriving and departing at the same minutes past the hour) then the planners will just repeat the move for subsequent hours rather than changing it up when it's not needed.

Oddity noticed today, 1242 Paisley Canal went off of 9 and was formed of a 320/4.

Also 2 Carmine 314s out today, one unidentified and the other being 314205.

Must be.

It is still rather strange seeing 320s on Canal and 385s going through Paisley.

Also noticed a 380 on a Shotts line service this morning too, is that a booked service?
