Didn't know how things would be affected by strikes this week but happy to say 837 and 857 were on the 18.15 ex Liverpool Street today (24th June).

A very productive couple of hours in the capital as I took in the new Elizabeth Line too!

They should be, was planning to catch one at Stratford earlier but didn't, although I did see 313121 there!
One was indeed out - I caught it at Stratford heading back to Liverpool St at I think 17:55.

I can confirm the 315s are still in service. I saw one today at Stratford around the peak times

Two pairs of 315s out in service tonight, on the 1745 and 1815 ex-LST
315838 + 315853 were on the 1745, now running the 1833 ex-Shenfield. I'm currently on 315837 + 315857 which are forming the regularly scheduled PM diagram.

Great to see two pairs out. Dependable units to the last.

Most likely due to the fact a 345 failed earlier, so the 315 pair (as they’re being retained to do) went in to cover.

Any idea whether the unbooked pair will stay out all evening?

I can see what was originally scheduled but not what might change as the evening goes on.

Isn't that just because December 2022 is the standard timetable change date rather than a hidden sign that the 315s will remain in service that long?
If I was betting, I'd say the 315s are the cover/contingency for the period while the remaining three 7-car 345s are converted to 9-car (after the East and West sides start running through and allow the West side peak extras to run from Platforms 11/12 at Paddington).

Yes. You can change anything under STP arrangements as you go along, or even re-issue the permanent diagrams if practical. The letter accompanying the diagrams says thay are subject to change.
