From 1989, they originally displaced 310s off the WCML to the LTS and were then replaced themselves by the 321s from July 1989.How long did 317's last for on the main line I know they first appeared following introduction of 319's in 1987 but when did they last operate because the 321's came between 1988 & 1990 so could anyone clarify thanks.

Here we are 40 years later and they still running on my local line into London!

Has anyone got any links or information on the stabling of these units whilst they were out of use due to the industrial dispute which stop them being used on the Bed Pan serviceswww.railforums.co.uk
