What has happened to the 'Orion' project with their 768 and 319? As far as I know, 768001 is now at Castle Donnington Emdc and has been since November, no further use planned? And why did their second unit, the 319, never get the 768 (769/5) treatment?

All three of the completed Orion units are at Castle Donington - 319373, 768001 and 768002.

On the Class 319 Northern Departure thread, I asked about 319363. Wickham responded that according to his notes in went to Sims in April 2022, whereas 45076 said he had it going to Sims in July 2022.
But 319363 has appeared in the 2023 and 2024 Platform5 Locomotive and Coaching Stock books as in existence and stored at Long Marston.
I've be very grateful if someone can confirm 319363's status, and if scrapped, when and where. Many thanks

Possible one to watch out for Tuesday 26th March 2024
1. 5Q48 0833 Castle Donnington Emdc to Great Yarmouth C.H.S.
Now showing on website: www.realtimetrains.co.uk.
Possible 319/769 move?
Any further updates or information.
Much appreciated. Thank You.
It's coaching stock being returned to Eastern Rail Services after it was used for a training exercise in the Midlands

Believe I saw a picture a few weeks ago of 319454 (ex Porterbrook Innovation Train) on a low loader being taken for scrap.

Does anyone happen to know if this is a Orion 319/768 related move tomorrow? TIA
All three of the completed Orion units are at Castle Donington - 319373, 768001 and 768002.
Different locations.

So, any gen on this working?

Please** I might add.
The path is a manual call in the system and that has been activated, but this move has nothing to do with 319/768/769.

See below the incoming working:

It's a 37, pathed as diesel locomotive

Interestingly, the latest edition of Today’s Railways UK finally shows it as being sent to Newport Sims for scrap. No mention of when so maybe finally catching up.

Lots of 319/769's at Long Marston and some video of one being scrapped on the Ashville YouTube channel (he is getting a 153 for his yard), but lots of video of units around the location.

319362 is now dead at Long Marston, having been used for an industry emergency exercise in recent weeks. The front vehicle was tipped onto itside, the second derailed on all axles and decoupled from vehicles 3 and 4. All of which have had doors forced etc by fire crews with hydraulic kit etc. It’s now been righted but would imagine it’ll be off to Newport or similar before long.
There’s another debranded Northern 319 sat waiting ready to perform the same duty for another identical exercise in a couple of weeks.
I think the front page needs to be updated regarding 319362. Just noticed this Flickr photo from Adrien Hampton from 14 March 2023 showing carriage 77460 on a low loader South on the M5, presumably towards Sim's. Waiting to see if Adrian can confirm the destination. https://www.flickr.com/photos/135904245@N05/52747656106/

All four vehicles were delivered by road. March 3: 71930; March 14: 77460; March 28: 63044; March 29: 77461. Hope this helps.

319373 Moved from storage at Castle Donnington to Crewe South Yard today. Does anyone know what this is in relation to?, My understanding was that ROG/Orion didn’t have any work for these units?
