I saw a picture of a decaying 321 driving carriage stabled at Doncaster, still in First Great Eastern livery, and when I enquired about it to the person who took it, I was told nothing more than it was from 360 prototype “321449” or something like that which I’m almost certain does not exist? I also thought all Class 321s (exc 901/902) ever built were all in service, either as new 320s for ScotRail or with Greater Anglia? Was 449 ever a thing and was there a full four carriage train? Did it ever work in passenger use?

I don't know much about it but I know it's a 321 driving car and it's been there for at least a good 10 years now!

Yes it was a spare bodyshell and was painted into Barbie livery as opposed to the white, blue and green livery found on the FGE 321’s.
