Has anyone else notice that 350/1s are a different shade to /3s and 4s?
I've seen a few like this and obviously whoever ordered the vinyl for the /1 refurb got the wrong colour.
Only subtle, but when together they stick out like a sore thumb. Left a proper LNWR colour on a /3 & Right a /1 with a more GWR type green than an LNWR shade.
Honestly if you hadn't pointed it out I could have believed that that was a trick of the light. I'd say it's probably more subtle than the two different shades of blue on Northern...

Well, I have an eye for detail and the point I made I think proves that. What are the two shades of blue on Northern? Send me a private message if you want as I'm intrigued and want to know more.

I can imagine it’ll be because the /3 vinyls are almost 3 years old, whereas the /1s have only recently been vinyled. The /4s were vinyled at the beginning of the year whilst with TPE and even before they came down the vinyl was looking knackered. The weathering must’ve got to the /3s and /4s...

I get that the /1s were done later but if you look at the LNWR colour scheme on stations and their logo the /1s are the wrong shade.

I’ve seen /2s & /3s when they were fresh out the paint shop and they are the correct shade, /1s are more green than those ones which were more of a teal/turquoise shade which is the correct shade.

I found that rather odd myself... the practically brand new TPE vinyls were replaced with vinyls for the wrong brand!
I assumed that they would put them into service with LNWR livery, then gradually revinyl them on some kind of rolling schedule... clearly I was wrong.

Didn’t they originally get it wrong the first time round and it had to be stripped off. Clearly still can’t get it right on the /1’s

Yes, I know this happened to 350106, I saw it about a year ago and it had full LNWR livery and a few days later I photographed it again in plain grey, it’s been over a year and it’s still plain!

Nice that’s another plain one for me to look out for! :) Is it me or do you think they would look better plain if they added just black window surrounds and that’s it? None of the big logos and garish colours?

I just see it go by me at work and noticed the other side is different! Red not blue :)

I can’t upload the video due to size

Thats looks great. They included the cab as well too!

I think its about time a you vs train livery was put on a train. Makes sense in terms of advertising

Maybe this will be like the BTP livery and we will see more on other trains? great to see LNR be the first to do this.

Definitely gonna keep an eye for 108. Thanks for posting the pictures!
