I was under the impression that LGX is the major project this weekend, or are the Hitchin works additional?

Either way round, Great Northern will be operating St Neots to Peterborough shuttles, be interesting to know which stock that is.
It could be ECML PSU works; there are still a few bits to do in the Welwyn - St Neots area IIRC. The connections to the new Little Barford feeder are still outstanding, one of the triple pole disconnectors at Coreys Mill (Wymondley) feeder remains incomplete (I think the autotransformers there aren't online yet), and there a few clamps on the old return conductors (now earth wires) to change near Stevenage.
The old feeders at Langley Jn, Wood Green & Potters Bar still await removal too.
This block (and the one in the 1st weekend of June) would be the perfect opportunity to do the work listed above; certainly the closure south of St Neots to all traffic lends itself to possible work at Lt. Barford.

Will look forward to your next observations as NR doesn't do well in coordinating work with big project blocks as project mgrs don't like the risks from other works.

Have faith sir.

I’ve just put over on the KX thread - there’s a big track renewal on the Up Fast between Hitchin and Stevenage this weekend. Bottom ballast about to go in!

The PSU works would be in this block track renewals people can be even more risk adverse although hopefully now its being run at regional level there is better levels of coordination happening.

Thanks for this - managed to get the 1655 yesterday, nice spirited non-stop run to Biggleswade, and great to get one final ride on the stock I've probably been on most in my life (so far, at least!).

Not sure these will run. All 15 365s are due to be stabled on the Nene from the 16th

We will have to see when the final CWN is published, but they are certainly shown to operate in the Draft CWN published last week

The CWN shows one set going to XHE and the other set running ECS back to XPN . After the weekend the plan is for 15 365s stored at XPN and 6 387s for service trains.

Thanks for the update. Normally I would plan to get the train from Doncaster to Peterborough, but whether that's a sensible idea given the Hitachi situation...

Also whether these will be the last 365 services given the Hitachi situation...

If anyone is planning to catch the 1012 on Saturday, hope to see you (at a safe distance) onboard the front carriage!

Someone in the company has got a sense of humour... I can’t see it in realtimetrains yet but in the documents the last 365 pair are due to run ECS to Peterborough Nene Carriage Holding Sidings as 3P65...

I've had many a pleasant journey on a 365 between Cambridge and London over the years. The replacements aren't an improvement imho! Goodbye (initially I wrote 'farewell', but that seems inappropriate given what their fate's likely to be) trusty steeds.
