Managed to ride on 365502 and 365520 on Sunday afternoon last weekend, as I couldn't be sure of being available for any later workings, on the 16:55 run to Peterborough. Going from P0 at KGX meant the sets got to experience the reinstated Gasworks Tunnel bore.

Will the 0811 or 0911 be a 12 coach variant?

I wouldn't necessarily bet on this being the end of Great Northern 365s...

I’m on the 18:12 from KGX to PBO.

GTR have put an extra unit on so it’s 12-car rather than the normal 8. Well done GTR! If only EMR could do similar with the HSTs

A good turnout of staff and enthusiasts at the Cross. Front carriage has one person in every double seat.

365s suit a route like London Kings Cross to Peterborough very well! They are far from knackered, and have done great at the job they've done.

That’s more to do with the reduced LNER service (GN announced they’d be strethening the peak time Peterborough’s the other day)

It’s nice to see they made an effort, especially with the headboard - is it possible that it will appear on eBay at some point?
Neither would I. There's a number of factors which might conspire to bringing them back.
Perhaps they will return, if passenger numbers increase more than expected. I hope they do as the ECML will be quite dull without them.

I presume you're referring to the rumour that some further 387s might be lent to GWR to cover for the ongoing shortage, and that borrowing them off GN and keeping the 365s in their place seems the most likely option?

Yep. Unless GTR/Southern have any spare then Great Northern is the logical solution, with virtually no cost or difficulty in terms of crew training.

Except that GWR are expecting to restore a much closer to normal level of service from Monday.

It does indeed seem a logical solution. Trained crew and fitters at both ends of the swap, and all route cleared.
