thanks for confirming that
would anyone be able to confirm if the 3 sets that are/were stored at Dourges have now been scrapped? have attached a photo and link to a post on twitter which suggests that they were moved for scrapping in September this year?.
Wow, just checked my Eurostar booking, and I suddenly see that my ES9133 has been cancelled, no idea why it got cancelled… Me and my mother got rebooked on ES9141. Did it also happen to you guys, when suddenly a booked service gets cancelled?
3218 was seen in the sidings by Bruxelles-Midi this morning, unrefurbished.
Well, two days ago when I went to London St. Pancras with my mother, E300 373212/373211 got booked on ES9141, isn't it normally booked with E320? I had some amazing experience onboard the E300, hearing those traction motors work so hard at 186 mph felt so good. I attached a photo of 373212/373211.
Does anyone know if there are any power cars still at EMR Kingsbury or have they now been cut up? I haven't been past since last May when 373201/202 had just arrived and a couple of other power cars were just about visible too.
have all been completely cut up now I believe.
Thank you. I thought that would probably be the case, especially as there isn't a huge amount of room at Kingsbury. Plus they've been dealing with ex TfL Rail Class 315s.
Hi can anyone confirm the remaining 373s in service please?
•Spare power car refurbished
+in service with Thalys IZY
*Former SNCF owned domestic set 3203/3204s rake of 18 coaches are now with 3211/3212 power cars.
Have you missed out 3207/3208 was this refurbished at Dourges or just stored. & does any one know if all the NoL sets been scrapped
3207/08 has been scrapped, I believe. The NoL sets (bar 3308) are stored in France.
I read recently that the NoL sets in France were scrapped.
(see post 1232 on this thread) - believe the 3 sets that are/were stored in Dourges have now all be scrapped?.
as for the NOL sets: 3301/3302, 3309/3310, 3311/3312, 3313/3314 + 2 other sets are all stored at Amberieu.
If you look at the Google Maps satellite picture of Amberieu, dated 2019, you can see a few rakes of decapitated TGV coaches (the distinctive HV roof cable along the top is visible). There are also a few more in sidings next to what looks like a scrapyard at Culoz, but I cannot see any sign of the NoL Eurostar sets.
Thats monsieur André's place, SME..:
this is the view of Amberieu/
Ambérieu-en-Bugey I get on both my phone and google maps. x6 NOL 373 sets visible along with a load of stored TGV sets (dated 2019).
Oh, up there. A few kms north of Amberieu.
Well now we know where they are perhaps the UK taxpayers can get their property back...
Quite incredible really that the former Regional Eurostar sets are still stabled in those sidings. I wonder when they will meet their fate?
Are SNCF still leasing them?
did see on another forum a while back someone mentioned that they were supposedly going to be bought back to the UK for scrapping, not sure how accurate that was or if that was even the plan.
I believe so yes.
Believe their lease ended in 2014.
Ah I see, thank you for this information.
Bit of a long shot... But does anyone know how to be sure that this power car is indeed 3304... Seeing as the panal that has the number on is missing on one side, and the other side is obscured by graffiti... Thanks in advance
Half-sets 3303/3307 were paired for some considerable time when SNCF hired them, right up to the end of the hire. 3304 was then the reserve half-set held at Le Landy. As far as I know only full sets went elsewhere for storage, leaving 3304 at Le Landy.
OK I see... Thank you very much for that info... I'm just feel a bit sceptical because there's this photo on google from 2008:-
It doesn't look like that now... (back to the full yellow front)... The coaches it's with are correct though... All from the 3304 set...
believe 3007/3008 returned to Temple Mills today following its interior refurbishment.
Good afternoon, would anyone happen to know which train / unit set would be operating the 12.58 Hrs STP to Brussels on a Thuirsday and return Brussels/STP 18.56 hrs? Old / New / refurbished? Thank you.
Given they only have 3 original trains left I would guess a new one or a refitted one
