There isn't an increase in 377 Diagrams next week (w/c 02/10/17), however the week after two more 8 car diagrams come into use:

These 377s won’t. 25 units isn’t enough and with the platform constraint at Tunbridge Wells - you could only turn an 8 Car 377 round in the platform like vice the 10 cars they use in the peaks.

That will stay 8 465 and run empty to Grove Park I believe.

I'm almost certain 163 was the rear unit on my East Grinstead service (sat in the rear coach).

Could've been my eyes mistaking 3 for 8 I guess or something.

I was under the impression that all 377 units are compatible - certainly the /5s are with older units.

They’re already compatible with 377/5s. They’ll visit Ramsgate on 09/10 for updates to GPS/SDO to allow them to run across the Southeastern Network.

Wasn't sure as the 377/6 & 7 if I recall had to be modded to work with older Electrostars & the 5's are also "new" compared with the 1/2/3/4's.

The 377/5s are just 377/4s with Pantographs :P

Did the 377s need to be cleared before running into Charing X and Cannon St, or are they essentially "cleared by defacto" on the basis that the 375s are already good to work there?

The 377s have been to CHX in the past.

They used to work Southern Charing X to Tonbridge/Tattenham Corner services if I recall.

377510/516 & 523 are currently at Ramsgate receiving modifications prior to service entry. 377163/164 will head to Ramsgate on Monday with them due to arrive at Victoria Grosvenor Shed later this week.

I would expect they are to be cascaded onto other Southern services. It's probably what is also allowing Southeastern to take 377163+164.

Aren't they being used to strengthen existing formations, Tattenham and (Caterham peak only) lines as these were removed from the Thameslink grand plans vice Kent destinations and to remove the reliance of using cl455s as much as they do now.

I saw 377 521 leading 377 164 and 377 163 away from Victoria this afternoon, so the two 377/1s have now moved over.
