I'm trying to put a date to the following photograph of 40135:

    http://www.englishelectric.org.uk/p178432731/h10d1d167#h10d1d167

It was taken out of the window on a cross-country train between BNS and Cambridge as we stopped at Nuneaton. Ironically I took the picture as I thought it would be the last time I'd ever see it, thinking that it had failed and was dumped.

It was certainly during 1984 and would have been no later than October. My guess is either 17th July or 24th August as these were dates I visited Birmingham. Could anyone confirm if its either of these two dates or offer another suggestion?

    Thanks

It wasn't in 1984, such codes didn't exist then :P

My guess is it's August 24th - according to http://www.class40motherlist.com/84aug.html it worked 6E95 Warrington Arpley-Parkeston Yard (presumable Harwich?) that day.
