Some of the Poole stoppers are (especially in the peaks, eg the 1839 from Waterloo that divides at Basingstoke), most of the peak-time extras are (ones that terminate/start at Southampton that aren't late night/very early morning services), and very few Weymouth services are 444+450. Sorry I can't be more specific right now.

Hi, could someone please tell me what services between Waterloo and Southampton Central are formed of 450s please? Thanks

I can tell you what the working notice says, but I don't really want to copy out the whole day. Could you give me a time slot of a few hours please?

Thanks. Are there any going to London from Southampton on a saturday?

Only on some of the very early departures from Southampton that are off pattern (e.g. 0530) some ex Poole's at xx55 are 450s, but the following xx00 will always be a 5 or 10.444 and overtakes the semi-fast at Eastleigh. You wouldn't take the xx55 unless you needed to.

Thanks for all your help. Going to visit my sister at uni in a 444 will be a whole lot more comfortable than a 450 or god forbid a Voyager:lol:

Funny you should say that, I preferred a voyager over a 444, mainly because on the 444s ive started to notice there's quite a lot of rough track at the moment (shawford Jnc for example) but the voyagers don't seem affected by the rough track.

It might be partly down to the relative weights, Voyagers are naturally heavier coaches as you've got engines, fuel tanks, gear boxes etc underneath each coach

And, to be fair, Voyagers are also designed for higher speeds, so might have better suspension.

When u say shawford jnc, you probably mean the entire Waterloo to Weymouth route. I'm sure there's more rough track than smooth these days.

Noticed there have been some changes to these lately (this year?) - for example the 1439 Brockenhurst was a 444 and the 1539 Brockenhurst a 450 for many years.

Not sure if it's still the case but the 2039 out of Waterloo (which turns back and forms the 2230) also used to be 450 circa 2013.

Indeed the whole route is poor at the moment, but Shawford Jnc is particularly bad.
