Just as I was leaving Oxford station for a spot of lunch today (aug 6), what looked like a grey class 56 passed through heading south. Would have been about 12:20. Is anyone able to identify the loco please?

Many thanks :)

Yep, it was 56311 on 6Z84 Calvert - Willesden EuroTerminal.

56311 then failed at Willesden, 31190 was dispatched to Willesden from the Oxford area. (worked as 0Z56)

It was working the Calvert - Willesden Bins

Are you sure it wasn't empty spoil wagons working back to Thorney Mill, near Iver? And if it was going to Willesden, that's spoil wagons as well, not waste containers.
