I assume you are asking about the WAG express (Currently 57 + MK2s /3S) It does not run on Saturdays.
Glad I did it one last time last Friday with a 'snatcher then (316)![]()
The train goes over to Class 67 haulage on Monday I gather.
Would it be the same times? because i will be at Newport tomorrow ad hoping to get a Arriva Class 67
No changes to times although the service from Holyhead in the morning is likely to be hauled by a 57 I have been told
I did hear also that a Class 57 was taking it down but a Class 67 back up
I love it when theres a stay of execution! One of those 'I refuse to die!!' moments! Okay, maybe only for a one way trip but AFTER the 'last official' 57-hauled WAGex.
Did read on Gens this morning that 57316 IS the last Class 57 to Cardiff
That would be unlikely, I don't think that the current WAG Express rolling stock is through wired for remote operation of the 67 from the DVT. The 67s will simply take over the present arrangement from the 57s for the time being.with the DVT?
Looks nice but it's a shame to see the back of the 57s at lastStill, we got a good stay of execution I suppose.
I must admit to being rather happy the pseudo duffs are gone. Much prefer a 67
