I saw a Class 700 working on the Fen Line (at King's Lynn) yesterday evening. Does anybody know why they are working on this line for some diagrams and when they started?

I’m assuming they want to use an as little number of Class 365s as possible, so spare 700s (due to a reduced timetable) could be working on some Great Northern runs, with Class 387s taking most of the remainder of the services. No idea for certain though.
This is to do with the reduction in platforms at King's Cross. The Cambridge stoppers will interwork with the Ely and King's Lynn trains. So there will be 700 to King's Lynn and 387s on the stoppers.
