That would be 701015.Another 701 heading south 6X24 0735 Derby Litchurch Lane to Eastleigh Works 119 late passing Kettering, Locos 66739/745.
If anyone knows which 701 it is - would be gratefully received, thank you.
Thanks @spark001uk for your help and swift reply. That would be 701015.
Yes, here's mine!Anyone found any videos of 701015 on its delivery run?
If you go back a page or two there is a long conversation about the doorsThese are to be operated with fully trained Guards but Driver's do the doors ?
Exactly that. Same as how GA are operating their new trains. Personally I’m not a fan. These are to be operated with fully trained Guards but Driver's do the doors ?
The services which the 720s are/will be on are predominantly DOO without guards, as they have been for a few decades, so not quite the same.Exactly that. Same as how GA are operating their new trains. Personally I’m not a fan.

I was referring to the 720s, which I think the OP was as well.ah, but the Stadlers, which admittedly aren’t that new anymore tend to run on services that were solely guard operated

Oops!the OP was myself
So for however long a reboot takes a unit can be in total darkness? i.e. no marker lights2nd pic was everything powered down during a reboot
I was in a 700 once that had to reboot at a station. All lights went off, aircon off, doors locked. Computers are the future don't you know! :/So for however long a reboot takes a unit can be in total darkness? i.e. no marker lights
On S Stock everything will go off including marker lights, until “set” button pushed then one tail light will come on until train fully rebootsSo for however long a reboot takes a unit can be in total darkness? i.e. no marker lights
I remember being locked in 458s in total darkness during their early years. And their software is the equivalent of the Sinclair ZX81.I was in a 700 once that had to reboot at a station. All lights went off, aircon off, doors locked. Computers are the future don't you know! :/

That and its tendancy to slip out of sync a station or two during the journey. Not sure that was the computers fault that time probably another fault.
I think the software is good. It does give a lot of useful information… The only problem is when putting P.I.S codes in it takes about two minutes before it activates.

Always happens between Winnersh and Winnersh Triangle. It doesn't cycle through in time so announces Earley as Winnersh Triangle and Reading as Earley unless the driver advances it, which most don't do.All the bloody time (lol) the reason for that I think is that the computer is so slow though not fully sure... Seems to happen at short distances between stations (St Margs - Twickenham)...round Hounslow and down the Reading Road.I'm not sure if its making extra announcements as well and considering the computer is 20+ years old it's probably not surprising.
Noticed 701005 in Top Shed Wimbledon Yard yesterday. It was there last week also…
Could just be E for end (of the 5), maybe?DV refers to dual voltage, units 001 and 501/2, otherwise it's fairly standard nomenclature:
DM: driving motor
PM: pantograph motor
TLW: Trailer lavatory wheelchair
M3: Motor 3(rd in half-set)
E I don't know however, however it would presumably relate to it being the split point on the 10 car sets. M is motor as usual and 1 2 refer to position in formation
Thanks for the response. I'd completely forgotten the standard nomenclature DOH! I should have noticed the DV and DC differences.DV refers to dual voltage, units 001 and 501/2, otherwise it's fairly standard nomenclature:
