Class 717 Introduction

I noticed that the first Class 717 was introduced at the weekend. Does anyone have details of what services they'll be running for now?

The service was a one-off unfortunately - the first trains aren't due to be introduced to regular service until later in the autumn.

I bagged a number of Class 313s at the weekend. The number of 'train people' travelling up and down was noticeable!

For anyone wandering there is a class 717 operating a passenger service tomorrow between Finsbury Park and Gordon Hill. http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/X23154/2018/11/16/advanced. I know it says runs as required but trust me it will run, the 717s have been testing throughout the week. Happy Hunting!

The main 717 thread in the rolling stock forum has covered these 2Gxx services a few times, so I wouldn’t bank on it. Probably best to discuss 717 introduction in only the one place.
