how come going to storage?thanks730022 Soho to Gascoigne Wood earlier today.
I was under the impression Gascoigne Wood was where units had mods or some work done on units?I wonder if that is as stored surplus or unusable ?.
Wonder if its next move will be to the Southern WCML (can be via Willesden).
I think this is the case. All the /0s should be going to have door locks and modifications to cab doors done.I was under the impression Gascoigne Wood was where units had mods or some work done on units?
I thought Doncaster was the storage yard.

Real-time train running information for 5Q58 1220 departure from Belmont Down Yard to Old Dalby on 17/10/2024. From Realtime Trains, an independent source of train running info for Great Britain.www.realtimetrains.co.uk
Could this be a 730 that's heading to Old Dalby or something else?
Think 022 was in service quite early those onesFrom PTS I note that 34 of the 48 730/0s are in service today including 730025 & 730034 which I previously had down as on testing at Willesden. Also 730027 recently back from Gascoigne Wood is also in service today,
Does this mean that all have now been in service? I'm unsure about 730022 though as that is now at Gascoigne Wood
The 2 arrived Gascoigne wood today after stuck at Chaddesden sidingsSomething's happened to it as it's gone into Chaddesden No.2 Siding
730022 had been in service in the Midlands, then languished at Crewe carriage sidings , then back in service for a week or two then recently packed of to Gascoigne wood. I imagine that it had quite likely started action at Willesden on the South WCML, like all 730/0s seem to, before all that but I missed that as I was not taking an interest in the early days so not sure. From PTS I note that 34 of the 48 730/0s are in service today including 730025 & 730034 which I previously had down as on testing at Willesden. Post 2537^^Did they move on eventually?
350/1/3 and 4s will stay with them. Not sure which routes 730/2s will operate.Sorry if this question has been asked before but which routes will be 730/2 operated eventually? And which will stay 350's?

Noted. Thanks.Last time I heard it the plan for the south WCML services was 730 on MKC/Tring locals and some Crewes, 350 on Birminghams and some Crewes.

In answer to my own question, I can confirm (by looking back through PTS posts to early August) that all 48 730/0s have operated in service. Although some, such as 004, have not operated a service for quite a while. From PTS I note that 34 of the 48 730/0s are in service today including 730025 & 730034 which I previously had down as on testing at Willesden. Certainly in the plans as drivers have taken them into Lime St. I'll reach out to fleet regarding introduction as training still hasn't commenced for guards on them (other than managers and coaches)Also I think 730/2 to Liverpool but it may have changed.
