I wonder if that is as stored surplus or unusable ?.

Wonder if its next move will be to the Southern WCML (can be via Willesden).
I was under the impression Gascoigne Wood was where units had mods or some work done on units?

I thought Doncaster was the storage yard.

I think this is the case. All the /0s should be going to have door locks and modifications to cab doors done.

37510 I would imagine. That took the other unit to Gascoigne.

A loco has positioned from Derby to Belmont Yard ready to work the following move today (Thursday 17th Oct)

Could this be a 730 that's heading to Old Dalby or something else?

Cheers @Rhysdabeast I was initially annoyed at having missed it, but that's not so bad as 206 is one I've seen already! There's another move today going from Oxley to Gascoigne Wood, so hopefully that'll be one that I both see and need!

From PTS I note that 34 of the 48 730/0s are in service today including 730025 & 730034 which I previously had down as on testing at Willesden. Also 730027 recently back from Gascoigne Wood is also in service today,

Does this mean that all have now been in service? I'm unsure about 730022 though as that is now at Gascoigne Wood

Think 022 was in service quite early those ones

730022 had been in service in the Midlands, then languished at Crewe carriage sidings , then back in service for a week or two then recently packed of to Gascoigne wood. I imagine that it had quite likely started action at Willesden on the South WCML, like all 730/0s seem to, before all that but I missed that as I was not taking an interest in the early days so not sure.

In answer to my own question, I can confirm (by looking back through PTS posts to early August) that all 48 730/0s have operated in service. Although some, such as 004, have not operated a service for quite a while.

Also I think 730/2 to Liverpool but it may have changed.
Certainly in the plans as drivers have taken them into Lime St. I'll reach out to fleet regarding introduction as training still hasn't commenced for guards on them (other than managers and coaches)

The 730/0 s have line maps for both LNw and WM, and I would suggest that the former shows at least what the original intention was - pretty much all the main line routes except Milton Keynes - Northampton - New Street (which is completely omitted from the map).

Maybe not new but the excellent PTS shows 36 out today with 3 each on the Rugeleys and Wolverhamptons.
According to a previous post there are 6 Rugeley and 5 Wolverhampton diagrams so still another 5 to come.
I don’t know whether that’ll be soon or whether they will wait till the Eustons go over to /2s.
As stated before that would only be 33 diagrams for 48 units unless some stay on the Eustons which currently have 8 I believe.
730/233 seems to be the highest number to have left Derby. Are there any earlier ones that have never left?
