Last Saturday the 09:29 Swansea to Paddington was just one 5 car IEP (800005) packed to the rafters before it even got to Cardiff! Not sure what happened operational wise as this was booked for a 2 x 5 car 800?

There was only 1 out not 2 as I was hinting at. Perhaps because the Swanseas are going to Marylebone as I believe one was stabled there

The following diagrams start off as follows which, unfortunately, I'm unsure of the remainder of their working. I have taken these from RTT movements off North Pole and Stoke Gifford:-

1B03 0648 Bristol TM to Swansea and 1L48 0929 Swansea to Paddington
1A07 0730 Bristol TM to Paddington
1A09 0830 Bristol TM to Paddington
1C03 0657 Paddington to Bristol TM
1C05 0757 Paddington to Bristol TM

06.45 BRI to SWA is HST today.

Are there any IETs into Swansea today?

WNXX suggesting IET will form 12.42 PAD to Hereford tomorrow. Can anyone confirm?

Well the 1242 is currently showing as an ECS from North Pole on Realtime Trains so it may well be

Yes, seen that. But there were workings from the IEP depots on RTT today, all cancelled.

Was wondering if there was anything special about the Hereford train publicity-wise which would mean more chance of it happening?

Think I'll see what happens next week then get a Heart of England rover to sample IET performance on Campden bank (1:100).

RTT is a useful guide for whats likely to happen but NEVER a guarantee. Officially GWR have said that Cotswolds gets IETs from next week so we will have to wait and see. I will be watching Slough Railcam with interest

There were some shenanigans yesterday around 3pm at Bristol - lots of delays and I overheard my guard saying he had been stepped up from his HST last min as the rostered guard didn't sign the stock

It seemed to me like we were supposed to be an HST- certainly the reservations seemed to be for one (and then weren't set up on board, though no problem for me sat in a completely empty coach J)

Just seen ECS for the 09.47 BRI to PAD go down Filton Bank, 2 x 5 car IET. So at least those two are out and about today.

Will do the Hereford IET next Sun if its running.

Are there any weekday or Saturday diagrams to Hereford?

Not at the moment, no. Initial weekday workings on the Cotswold Line from this week, with more planned from the 15th, are only as far as Worcester and Great Malvern, replacing the 180s.

Someone may know what's going to happen at weekends.

And the 12.42 is showing on GWR Journeycheck as a five-car train, though they seem to have forgotten about the 16.34 return working.

Another pair 5 car IETs just gone down Filton Bank, presumably to form 13.05 BRI - PAD?

Very interested to hear if the Hereford train will be IET next Sunday i.e.

1W03 1242 London Paddington - Hereford
1P73 1634 Hereford - London Paddington

Just have to wait and see. This particular Sunday turn to Hereford was a regular for a Class 180 in recent months.

Could someone inform me of tomorrow's 800 diagrams please (I'm not very good at the RTT tracking thing)?

Thanks in advance.
