It would be nice (albeit improbable!) if GBRf could do a deal with CHC and get 87035 back on the mainline. Seems a bit of a waste seeing it parked up at Crewe and not in revenue earning service.

It may be nice, it'd also be expensive. I cannot see GB wanting to outlay the capital required.

Those were the days on the WCML when you felt you were joining a "big proper train" - these days boarding a long smelly plastic tube (regardless of how fast it goes) just doesn't do it for me I'm afraid
